About our Founders
Paul Kradin and Steve Bauerfeind’s passion for the environment fueled their conviction to dive into totally uncharted territory and self-fund something they knew could make a global difference. By giving people a product that’s well-made, easy to use and chic, they’re creating a new habit that lets people feel good about refusing single-use plastics while signaling to others it’s time to do the same. A solution grounded in their love for all humans, animals and the earth. And each other. Cause they’re married.
Paul Kradin
With a sustainability emphasis, Paul ensures every aspect of the company honors Aerrem’s values, bringing a strong background in communication strategies to effectively reach consumers. He vets product innovation, web reviews, and all company activity through a sustainability lens. He is also invested in the vendor process as well as Aerrem’s closed-loop freight delivery system, obtaining new and experimental packaging materials for trial and development.
Previously, he worked in philanthropic communications for a non-profit national hospital network. In response to his rising alarm over the planet’s climate crisis, Paul left his career in communications in 2018 to launch CO2CYCLE, an environmental sustainability firm working with commercial and photo shoots to make their sets carbon neutral, single-use plastic-free and more mindful about recycling waste.
Paul holds a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles in English Literature.
Steve Bauerfeind
With an ever-creative approach to marketing and operations, Steve brings more than 20 years of management and business growth to Aerrem. He’s deeply involved in all aspects of design, branding, web design and social media.
For the past 18 years, Steve has managed and led the growth of Bauie Productions & R-A-D Media into premiere, full-service production companies for still photography and full motion commercials. With an experienced team of production professionals in Los Angeles and capabilities to handle production demands nationally and globally, Bauie & R-A-D are also working with clients on creative content as well as production, providing value-added service in the beauty and fashion industries.
Previously, he worked in the film industry, as a director’s assistant and apprentice film editor on a number of high-profile feature films.
Steve holds a B.A. from the University of California, Davis in Design.
